Here is a look at a few stories I read last week.
- Paid Content reports that World Cup soccer players cannot use social media. I never really understood this blanket “no you can’t use social media” attitude. It’s not just the World Cup, other professional league teams have banned their players. Why not just set certain guidelines and let the players have at it? If done properly it can be a great benefit to the team, player, fans and traditional media.
- Social Media Today says to ask yourself 7 questions before you hit the “Publish” button. I do my best to make sure I do this. The last thing I want is a blog post to go live with errors in it. Can’t say that I always catch everything though.
- Over at Ad Ops Online check out the latest report on video advertising networks. Very interesting stuff.
